24' Summary - What's up friends. We wrapped up the 24' season three weeks ago, and what a fantastic season it was. We battled atypical heat and seemingly constant south winds all year long, but our guests hunted hard and we put some incredible western Kentucky bucks on the ground, Those that are regulars can testify to the effort and investment into the resource, we have done it since day one. It is gratifying to see our guests have success, it certainly makes the work we do each and every day worth it.
New Facilities - The reviews on the new facilities are lights out. We have always put our guests first in every decision we make as an outfit, and we feel confident we have built a campus that is hunter friendly in every format. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your time with us, and the new lodging cabins and new lodge do just that. From our facilities to our farms, you don't have to look far to see that your hunt costs are invested in long term success here with us.
25' Deposits - I have always taken a laid back approach to collecting deposits, but we need you guys to get them to us in a timely fashion this year. We are adding another 800 +/- acres for 25', in addition to the 1100 +/- we added in 24'. We continue to try and grow our outfit, all while keeping our guests count at a number we feel applies the least amount of pressure possible. Our rates have increased for 25' across the board on every hunt in the amount of $250. We need this to cover the rising costs of gas, diesel, groceries, insurance and the new expenses associated with the new facility. I feel we are as generous as any outfitter in this business, but we simply can't maintain our budget without a rate increase, It will be our first rate increase in four years. We know the effort we give year round, we simply ask that you understand and acknowledge that by paying your deposit and balance on time.
25' Trail Cam - The 25' gallery has started. We started our 25' management plan on Dec 2, 2024, just two weeks after our last hunt. Mineral sites and feeders are replenished and refilled and the photos of the bucks we will be pursuing next year are in the gallery. We asked you guys to adhere to some pretty strict guidelines. I think if you will scan through the gallery you will see the future and the program is solid. I want every guest to kill the biggest buck of their hunting career with us. Some of you have passed multiple bucks that are within our shooting standards, and I commend you. Look at the class of 140"+ ten pointers in the current gallery. These are bucks that some of you passed on this year, that will have the full opportunity to blow up this coming season, after another year in our program. Our guests took two over 170" this year and six over 150". We only had two wounded the entire season, and we are certain one survived a shoulder shot. We are a team, you provide us an opportunity to earn a living for our families while entrusting us to implement a management program so you can have a legitimate opportunity every time you hunt with us to take a trophy of a hunting career, it is pretty much that simple. We are entering year eleven, and I think our best years our ahead of us.
